Thank you :-)<br />When I live in Kyoto, my teacher used to ask me to be his Uke in most classes for about 2 or 3 years. I miss it so much. He was kind. I never had to worry. I know there are some really tough senseis out there, but he really was always so kind and patient. One funny thing I remember, is that many times I was so focused on my ukemi for him, that when the demo was over, I had to practice the waza, but I had no idea what he actually just demonstrated. I guess the mind while taking intensive ukemi, is sometimes in an unusual state, and it gives another experience of learning. Something beyond the waza itself.<br /><br />Thanks so much for writing about Ukemi for Sensei.
